Do you have to have internet on your plan to have a black berry cell phone?
I have verizon wireless as my carrier. I want to buy a black berry but i heard it always is online or sumthing like that. My plan says i have to pay by the KB. So do i have to add some kind of unlimited internet pan on it or will it just be fine as long as i dont go on the internet?
I’m not sure about Verizon, but I am with T-Mobile and I added a “BlackBerry Unlimited Add-On” for $19.99. It gives me unlimited internet, email, and instant messaging. Without the plan, I am denied access to all internet features. Even with the plan, my BlackBerry isn’t connected all the time. It automatically checks for new email every so often, and the internet is just like on your computer – you open the browser and it connects to the internet.
Your plan may be letting you only pay for what you use (by the kb). If you don’t use the internet or email, then they shouldn’t charge you if you didn’t signing up for a data plan.
If your still unsure, you can always call Verizon Customer Service at 611 from your phone.
